The Farmers’ Almanac’s Best Days calendar is based on many formulas that take the Moon’s place in the zodiac, as well as its phase, into consideration. Though the results are not guaranteed, many people swear they get better results when using the Moon as a guide.
The Best Days to Set Eggs in 2024
According to Moon lore and the Almanac’s 200-year-old formula, for the best hatch rate, you should set eggs (place eggs under a hen or in an incubator) so that the chicks are born during the “fruitful” signs of the Moon during specific phases. You may have heard this called “setting eggs by the Moon.” This is an age-old practice that is said to produce healthy chickens.
