What Drives You Crazy?

I may not be greatest driver in the world, but I have had a license since October 1967 and have never had an accident (not even a moose or deer). Over the weekend I was behind a vehicle with Florida plates who abruptly made a left turn without the benefit of a turn signal. I drive defensively and noticed a slowing before the turn, averting an accident. It got me thinking about my biggest gripes when it comes to other drivers, though.

By biggest gripe – the thing that drives me absolutely crazy – has to be people who make a turn without using a blinker. I know they know where they are going but, hey, share it with others. Heck, it takes the movement of a finger (maybe 3”) and 2 seconds to warn others. But, so many people fail to indicate a turn. Why?

My #2 gripe are people who drive in the dark without lights. As dusk approaches, it gets more difficult to see dark cars that fail to put on headlights. I have a GMC Acadia with automatic lights but hey, how hard is it to turn on lights when it starts to get dark or it is raining? I flip my lights to anyone who is clueless — occasionally a police car too.

We all spend considerable time behind the wheel — what drives you crazy? It is OK to admit that you are an offender, but what bad driving habit really gets your goat? Share below!

It would seem that everybody has their bright lights aimed directly at my retinas. There seems to be a lot of people using the fog lights all the time not aware that they are blinding people. Many cars coming at you with four headlights now. Way too bright!!!

The one’s who drive me crazy, are the ones who don’t use cruise control…they speed up then slow down constantly!

what drives me crazy is people who get in the turn lane and don’t pay attention so they are the only ones or maybe two that get through the light focus people focus or stay out of the turn lane

I agree with theduchess…..I hate left lane drivers.

People who “drive” in the left lane instead of using it for a passing lane.

If you notice a hole in the upper left-hand corner of your Farmers' Almanac, don't return it to the store! That hole isn't a defect; it's a part of history. Starting with the first edition of the Farmers' Almanac in 1818, readers used to nail holes into the corners to hang it up in their homes, barns, and outhouses (to provide both reading material and toilet paper). In 1910, the Almanac's publishers began pre-drilling holes in the corners to make it even easier for readers to keep all of that invaluable information (and paper) handy.
